I’ve spent entirely too much time researching all varieties of bread slicers on the internet and I’m declaring this one the best – I can’t say enough good things about it! It’s sturdy, precision designed and made, VERY effective at slicing consistent slices with minimum knife “wiggling”, packs up compactly into itself, and quite possibly the best part: it’s gorgeous. The one thing this bread slicer is missing is the one thing the seller can’t provide: years of wear and tear, nics in the wood, and knife-slice markings so abstractly covering the surface that it shows the markings of a truly well-crafted, and well-loved, heirloom.
It almost makes me want to have a kid so I can pass it down to them.

I love this slicing guide! I can choose thin or thick slices. It makes cutting even slices very easy. There are no more crushed loaves because the adjustable snug fit holds the loaf firmly. It is easy to set up, each piece fits firmly into the slots, there is no wobble & it’s just as easy to take apart and fits in the drawer. I am so glad I chose this one!

Although I really like this product, there are some things I wish were different. The side pieces are made of a softer wood, like particle board so the slats do get cut into if you don’t have the steadiest hand. I love the even slices it allows me to cut and having two sizes gives my family choices of how thin to cut the bread. We got into the homemade sourdough craze and thick crusty bread isn’t the easiest to cut. I love this product, just not sure how long it will last. At the very reasonable price, I would buy it again if needed. I like that you can adjust the width of the loaf. For our boules, we turn the bread on its side. I like how you store the pieces under the base. The side walls help keep the crumbs from flying everywhere, not 100%, but they do help.

This was new to me but it arrived today, was a cinch to snap together and I tried it out immediately with a loaf I made yesterday. LOVE that you can control both the width and the slice size. Also love that when slicing you can easily use either a bread knife or an electric knife. Once finished, it’s so easy to break down and has all the parts in place within. I’m in slice heaven now. Worth every penny

The sides were a little tight in the beginning but the more I use it the better everything slides into place. A serrated bread knife does not damage the bamboo in the slightest and the 2 slice sizes are perfect for regular sandwich bread or Texas toast. Simply brush crumbs out to keep it clean. Plus, I was super stoaked that it fits perfectly in a standard sized cupboard. I was initially concerned that it would be too long and have to stay on the counter and that was not the case.
I would totally buy it again but this thing appears to holding up so well I don’t anticipate having to do so any time soon!
